Simply Chamorro

The Micronesian island of Guam is about 32 miles long and 8 miles wide.

Chamorro is the culture of Guam, a Micronesian Island that is also a territory of the United States.

Known as a Mestizo culture blending Pacific Island indigenous roots and Spanish colonialism, Chamorros enjoy a rich lifestyle that includes a life surrounded by the serene waters of the Pacific as well as savory cuisine using citrus, chili peppers, barbecue meats and fish, rice, noodles and plenty of fresh vegetables.

Finadene and rice: a Chamorro staple.

As a Chamorro, Judy “the foodie” is proud to collaborate with her mother, father and everyone else in her family to present “Simply Chamorro”—easy and flavorful recipes of the culture that defines her.

Enjoy.
